Transfer of taxi licences

Who can make this request? Individuals
Documentation to be submitted
  • Specific request form for the procedure;
  • Photocopy of the national identity cards of both the transferor and transferee;
  • Two (2) passport-sized photos of the transferee;
  • Original documents approving the licence in question;
  • Declaration from the transferee attesting that they comply with all the requirements for the formalization of the transfer;
  • Declaration from the transferor attesting that the licence to be transferred is not subject to any embargo (in the case of applications for ¿inter vivo¿ transfers);
  • Proof of payment of the associated fee;
  • Copy of the vehicle registration document for the taxi to be registered to the licence.
Where can I request this?

The request may be handed in at any OAC office (Registry)

Collect the certificate from the Traffic Department (Sección de Circulación)

Procedure duration This procedure has a duration of 3 months
Price and payment method

Fee for the issue of administrative documents stipulated in the Municipal Tax Ordinance for the current year (concept 311-00).

Payment of the fee can be made at any Integrated Customer Services Unit (Unidades Integradas de Atención al Público, UIAP)

Ways to start procedure Upon request of the party
Requirements
  • The person transferring the licence must also be the licence holder.
  • The person acquiring the licence must fulfil the requirements set out in the sworn statement (they must have the legal capacity to act and sign contracts, be up to date with their tax obligations, comply with the employment and social obligations required by the law in force, comply with conditions of professional capacity, good repute and financial capacity, and register a car to the taxi licence awarded which complies with the requirements set out in Chapter 5 of Title II of the current Municipal Regulation on Public Transport).
