Who can make this request? Individuals
Documentation to be submitted
  • General request form;
  • Documentation supporting reasons for leave: if it is due to studies, a photocopy of the enrolment form; in the case of caring for children under 3 years of age, a photocopy of the family book; in the case of caring for the elderly, details of kinship and proof of illness.
Where can I request this? The request may be handed in at any OAC office (Registry)
Procedure duration This procedure has a duration of 3 months

  • Market Regulations and Standards of 1999.
  • Law 39/1999 (5 November) to promote the Reconciliation of the Work and Family Life of People in Employment.
  • Royal Legislative Decree 1/1995 (24 June) approving the Consolidated Text of the Law on the Workers¿ Statute.

Can leave be requested for other reasons?  No. Leave will only be granted in order for permit holders to care for children under 3 years of age or the elderly, or in the case of studies.
