Ways to start procedure Upon request of the party
Requirements The request to initiate a complaints process can be carried out by an individual or legal entity (the latter must be a non-profit organization, NGO, etc.) who is the final consumer of the product or service. One of the parties involved in the commercial relationship which is the cause of the complaint must be a resident of or have a business in Palma (either the citizen affected or the business which has provided the product or service) in order for the Municipal Consumer Information Office (OMIC) to be able to deal with the complaint.

I would like to make a complaint about a purchase I made in Palma, but I live in a different municipality. Can I still apply to the Municipal Consumer Information Office (OMIC) in Palma? Yes. The OMIC can deal with the complaint as long as one of the parties involved in the commercial relationship is a resident of or has their business in Palma.
