Card advantages: Discounted rate for bus tickets of the municipal transport company "Empresa Municipal de Transportes" (EMT) for people above the age of 60, with the exception of certain services.

Duration of the card: 4 years

Type of cards:

"A" card for elderly people (Carnet Gran "A"): Free bus ticket.
"B" card for elderly people (Carnet Gran "B"): Fixed bus ticket price 0.15€ per fare.
 
Conditions:

• Entitled are all those who are registered in Palma or in any municipality that has joined this rate agreement: Esporles, Inca, Llucmajor, Marratxí, Puigpunyent, Sant Joan, Sineu, Calvià and Campos. Should you be registered at any of the previously mentioned municipalities, the "Carnet Gran" card rate will be processed at the respective Town Council.
• The applicant must have the "Tarjeta Ciudadana" (Citizen Card)

Required documentation:

GRAN "A" card card for elderly people (free bus ticket)

• Tax identification number (NIF)
• Income tax declaration certificate. In case of an individual tax declaration, the income should not exceed 5,113 euros; in case of a joint tax declaration, the total income shall not exceed 10,226 euros.

GRAN "B" card for elderly people (reduced bus ticket price)

• Tax identification number (NIF)
• Income tax declaration certificate. If the person requesting this card is between 60 and 64 years old: In case of an individual tax declaration, the income should not exceed 7,988 euros; in case of a joint tax declaration, the total income shall not exceed 15,976 euros. 
  If the person requesting this card is between 65 and 69 years old: In case of an individual tax declaration, the income should not exceed 15,976 euros; in case of a joint tax declaration, the total income shall not exceed 31,952 euros.
  If the person requesting this card is above 70 years old, only the tax identification number (NIF) is required.

• At any UIAP office Mondays to Fridays (working days only)
• At any mobile office Mondays to Fridays (working days only)

For the issuance of class A and B card copies in case of loss, robbery, deterioration, etc., the complete documentation must be submitted again.
